I just found your site through Tammy's Recipes and I watched Dead Horse Trampoline on Youtube. I just can't stop laughing. I can see how you might ruffle some horsefeathers, but the way you sing that song is so perfect! It's like you're a kid yourself. You just can't help but laugh at the whole thing. What boy wouldn't think of that?
Love your stuff! Glad to hear it!

Nice work Chris. Awesome actually. As usual, your lyrics are thoughtful, imaginative and clever. This one has something more...I think your "True Grit" really came through - heart & soul - and tasty too! Thanks for the gift. I hope to see you in October.

We are sitting here in Sydney listening to 'Gravedigger's Boy' on itunes, having a beautiful Aussie Shiraz... wishing we were in Larkspur with the Smith clan celebrating the release! Love the songs, love the site. Well done. You've come a long way since 'Sssshaving Cream' and 'Mr. Nobody'... I always loved the skinny ties.
Love you, Erika

Congrats on the new CD! Danielle and I will plan to be at the big release party. Can hardly wait! Interesting to think that for all the years and hours of playing music together it would take a ten year absence for me to finally attend a true Christopher Smith concert!

Chris,
Nice site! Great lyric on Gravedigger's Boy! Couldn't get the MP3 to download. Maybe you could hum a few bars for me (yuk yuk). The school year is starting off with a bang here at Loveland H.S. How are your little ones in K doin' for ya? It was great to see you again, even if for just one night. I always love to here your stuff!!! My daughter's wedding went very well in Chicago. They did such a wonderful job planning it. I really like that toddlin' town! Any old who, I'll hoist a few in your honor. Be sure to give Nate my best, and jot a line or two if you get a spare moment. All the best, jim k.

After seeing you last night at Caren Armstrong's birthday celebration at Strings, and having enjoyed your performance and your song so much, I just had to check in at your website. I like what you're doing a lot and now I'm a fan of yours as well as a classmate.

a friend sent the link for Dead Horse Trampoline. What a delightfully horrible song. The music was so GOOD and the words so BAD that I laughed all the way through. Tragically we had just put down our old mare a few days before so it will be a while before I recommend my husband listen to this. BUT I THROUGHLY ENJOYED IT! Thanks for the laughs

Hey Christopher,
How are you? Long time no see. I was one of your students at Ring Mountain Day School, in 1995. Remember, "Choo Choo Charlie." I'm still singing (continued since Ring Mountain), being now in my high school's Chamber Singers. I want to thank you for instilling in me a love for music, and I hope you are doing well.
Sincerely, Sam
PS I like your new music!
